The spring weather is finally here (feels more like summer - but hey I'll take it). One of the things I look most forward to in the spring is the opening of all the markets. Our very own local Farmer's Market begins this weekend and I can hardly wait to take the kiddies on our weekly adventures through the town. We usually start off at the market and then stop in at some of the local shops. Last year they offered face painting and music in the park once a month. I'm hoping they'll do the same this summer.

Another Market I'm very excited to share with you is the Mama's Locally Pop-up Market. It happens once a month at the Bolton Community Centre and gives local vendors the opportunity to showcase their stuff. Many of the vendors sell items geared towards babies and young children but there are several other tables featuring artwork, jewellery, bath and body items, food and women's fashion...each month they switch it up providing a fun a unique shopping experience. I personally have thoroughly enjoyed my time there and I've also managed to find some adorable items for my kids as well as for myself.
A little background info from the sister duo who started it all...
"We decided to join forces and create Bolton's pop-up market. We ourselves are local shoppers and found that Bolton didn't have a market like this. It was certainly lacking. So we decided to create Mama's Locally, where once a month pop-up markets can be provided to the public. Our goal is to showcase our amazing community vendors that continue to inspire us with their handmade products."
So if you're looking for a fun and affordable shopping experience be sure to head on over to their next event. All the information can be found below. You can also get up-to-date info by following these two entrepreneurs through social media. You'll find them on Instagram and Facebook. Some of the fun things I picked last weekend for both my girls. |
I bought this entire outfit at the first market in April. |
Irelynn's hat was also purchased there. |
Next market:
June 24th 10-2 at the Albion Bolton C.C. (150 Queen Street South, Bolton, Ontario).
Some other great reasons to go:
- free parking and admission
- activities for the kiddies
- lots of great gift ideas
- something for everyone!
- you're supporting local vendors and our community
Have a great week and hopefully I'll see you at the next one!
