Bluewater Beach

  Every summer my Uncle Jeff and his family rent a cottage on Bluewater Beach, located in Tiny Township, just off the shores of Georgian Bay...and every year I've been grateful to have the opportunity to join them and enjoy some time with the family at this spectacular beach.  It's become a highlight of my summers and now as my children get a little older, they get excited and look forward to our little beach vacation.  One thing I love about this cottage is looking out over the water and imagining that you could literally be anywhere in the world - on any beach that is.  For miles and miles all you see is water and then the horizon...I've enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets on these shores.  But that's not all I look forward to...although our stay is usually fairly short we always manage to fill our days with endless activities.  Daily trips to the ice cream parlour, building sand castles, flying kites, long walks on the beach, board games, movie nights, da

Sweet Treats

  Friends and family are always asking for advice and recipes when it comes to my sugar cookies...the truth is, I've never considered myself a baker - but I'm definitely a "practicing artist" and I can pretty much turn any blank canvas into a masterpiece - even a sugar cookie!  Last week I decided to make cookies for my son's baseball team and for my girlfriend's pool party.  I thought it was a great opportunity to share some of my best tips, recipes, advice and complete failures -ha!
