It’s December 10 th which means holiday traditions are already in full swing around the Minderlein household and the kiddies couldn’t be more excited!   Here’s our Christmas Line-up for 2018... 1.  The One of a Kind Show   The event has already come and gone but this is a tradition I’ve had with my mother-in-law for 12 years.   We always head down the last Thursday in November and spend the day shopping for Christmas gifts.   This year was the first time in seven years I got to go on my own (baby free) and it was truly a special treat.   I still got my baby fix though…my sister-in-law was able to join us with my niece baby Claire.      2.  Glow Barrie   This was something new we tried this year and we definitely weren’t let down.   It took place in Barrie, Ontario at the Bradford Greenhouses.   It was the most amazing light display I’ve ever seen!   Our entire family loved the event, even ...

Greetings!  I know, it's been a while since my last post which is why I wanted to begin with a little life update.   Let's rewind to the final days of summer 2018...one week before school started we found out every single person in our household had lice.  That same weekend I had to go for an ultrasound on my right breast.  Talk about a stressful and expensive few days.  The lice situation was completely treatable, but cost us a small fortune...on the other hand, waiting for my test results from the ultrasound seemed next to impossible (for me at least).  The fact that I was dealing with a whole lot of things at home made waiting for my results that much worse.  In the end it turns out I had nothing to worry about, a few benign cysts most likely related to a breastfeeding issue and as for the lice...we managed to take care of that too (with a little help from the pros).   Then it was back to school for Hudson and Geor...

So I don't really like roller coasters but I'm going to use them as an analogy to describe my life over the past 7 days...this time last week I was lying in bed imagining tiny, disgusting, six legged creatures crawling all over me.  I use the word imagine but the reality is, there was a lot of truth behind these visions.  I was right smack dab in the middle of a lice infestation.  That's right - our entire family (ok so not the dog), but we totally thought he had it.  It wasn't until the following morning that we learned otherwise.  Perhaps our dog did have lice but at least it wasn't the human kind ha!   Anyhow, to make a long story short we are officially lice free!  But this was no easy task...14 loads of laundry, 3 lice combs, endless hours of cleaning, 2 professionals, over $600 and only one shaved head.  Let's just it was money well spent and I now consider myself a lice expert.  Feel free to message me if you have any ...
